The State Duma is preparing to adopt in the third reading a bill that expands the powers of government customers in terms of suspending procurement participants. Starting from January 1, 2026, the participant will be able to be removed from the procedure or denied the contract for any false information in the application.

President Vladimir Putin agreed on the need to tighten control over compliance with the requirements for the use of domestic components in public procurement. The initiative was voiced at a meeting with business on May 26 by Andrey Kanunnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kursk Electrical Equipment Plant.
