On January 1, 2026, amendments to Resolution No. 1875 will come into effect, strengthening the course towards technological independence in the food and processing industry.
The Government of the Russian Federation has developed draft amendments to Resolution No. 1875 of December 23, 2024, significantly expanding the list of industrial equipment subject to restrictions and prohibitions on public procurement under federal laws 44-FZ and 223-FZ.
According to the document, the purchase of refrigerated display stands, equipment for washing and packaging bottles, cream separators, as well as technological lines for processing dairy, meat, grain and confectionery products will be completely prohibited abroad. The restrictive measures will also affect equipment for the production of pasta, beer, tea, coffee, sugar, beverages and fish products. The explanatory note emphasizes that the initiative is aimed at stimulating domestic manufacturers of technological equipment and strengthening Russia's technological sovereignty. The new rules will take effect on January 1, 2026.
