The State Committee for Procurement handed over gifts for Sabantuy
The RT State Procurement Committee handed over gifts for Sabantuy. A festive equestrian procession dedicated to collecting gifts for the batyrs who won the Sabantuy Maidan took place in Kazan today. The gift-giving ceremony was held on the territory of the Tugan Avylym complex.
"The traditional ceremony of collecting gifts before Sabantuy is an important part of Tatar culture, reflecting the values of unity, hospitality and caring for loved ones. It has remained relevant for many years, reminding of the importance of preserving traditions," said Marat Ziatdinov, Chairman of the Tatarstan State Procurement Committee.
In total, four horse-drawn carriages took part in the march, each of which started its journey from different points of the city and followed a specific route. The wagons met on the square in front of the Galiasgar Kamal Tatar State Academic Theater. There, a theatrical performance with the participation of the best folklore groups of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented for the guests of the ceremony.
The collected gifts will be solemnly handed over to representatives of the administrations of the Vakhitovsky, Sovetsky, Privolzhsky, Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts to be presented to the victorious batyrs on the Maidan Sabantuy.
