Tatarstan has started accepting applications for participation in the V Republican contest "Engineer of the Year", dedicated to the year of scientific and technological development in the republic. Tatarstan citizens can take part in it in 12 nominations in the categories: "Future engineers", "Youth, success, perspective", "Experience, achievements, competence".
More than 18.7 million rubles will be allocated for the organization of the competition, as well as for internships in advanced training programs using the infrastructure of the Skolkovo Innovation Center. The relevant purchase was posted by the State Procurement Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan. The customer is the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Tatarstan.
"This is a very important competition for Tatarstan, as the republic's economy is very developed and rich in engineering personnel. The main goal of the competition is to increase the prestige of the engineering profession, as well as to spread the experience of the best engineering practices," said Iskander Bagautdinov, Deputy Chairman of the State Procurement Committee.
The contractor will have to organize all the events of the competition, including the application campaign, the first and second rounds. Among the mandatory works: the formation of a concept and an action plan, an advertising and information campaign, the provision of designer services for a brandbook, ensuring the operation of the official website of the competition, the organization of the work of the competition commission, the production of diplomas, branded products, the provision of premises with the necessary equipment for the competition, the organization and holding of the award ceremony, photo and video shooting, the publication of a book about the winners of the V Republican contest "Engineer of the Year" and so on.
In addition, internships aimed at developing engineering competencies at the Skolkovo Innovation Center will be organized for 60 winners of the republican Engineer of the Year competition in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2019. Internships lasting at least 72 academic hours will include a distance module lasting at least 40 academic hours and a full—time module lasting at least 32 academic hours.
The programs will be compiled taking into account the current situation in the technological market of the Russian Federation and the focus on interns gaining practical knowledge, developing engineering competencies — taking into account the field of professional activity in which students are nominated. Upon completion of the internship, students will be awarded certificates of professional development of the established sample. Transfers, meals and accommodation are provided for participants.
