Today, the State Procurement Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the labor collectives of the department and the Procurement Development Center JSC with a combat veteran, participant in a special military operation, Lieutenant Colonel Gabdulla Iskhakov.

Gabdulla Rashitovich shared the history of his service, which began back in 2006. The veteran has participated in the military operation in Syria, and received state awards, including medals for Military Valor, Zhukov, Suvorov, and others. He returned from his home zone a month ago.

The serviceman spoke about everyday combat, about the tasks that had to be performed, about his comrades and about the difficulties our guys were facing. He answered colleagues' questions about providing troops and supporting Russian soldiers.

"We need to draw the right conclusions from history. Our task is to develop friendly relations with those who want it," added Gabdulla Iskhakov, a participant in the special military operation.

Yulia Ivanova, an employee of the department, also touched upon an equally important topic, analyzing the myths about blood donation. She spoke about the contraindications, the benefits of donation for the body, as well as the title of "Honorary Donor of Russia" and benefits.

Yulia stressed that it is possible to help those who defend their Homeland not only with words, but also with deeds — by regularly donating blood for wounded soldiers and civilians.

"It's very important to feel involved, to help people," Yulia shared.

At the end of the meeting, Chairman of the State Committee Marat Ziatdinov presented Gabdulla Rashitovich with a departmental award for his personal contribution to patriotic education and active citizenship.
