The Republic of Tatarstan has taken the third place in Russia in terms of the number of small technology companies supplying goods and services to government customers. According to data for the three quarters of 2025, 3.9% of the total number of MTK suppliers in the country are registered in Tatarstan, 42.8% in Moscow and 8.2% in St. Petersburg, according to the website of the SME Corporation.
The total Russian volume of purchases by government customers from small technology companies during this period exceeded 131 billion rubles, which is 9% more than in the same period last year. At the same time, the number of MTK suppliers increased by 21% and exceeded 1.5 thousand companies.
"Tatarstan's entry into the top three in working with small technology companies is a natural result of the republic's systematic work to create favorable conditions for innovative entrepreneurship. Thanks to the republican marketing center, Tatarstan companies have the opportunity to present innovative solutions and technologies to large customers," said Marat Ziatdinov, Chairman of the Tatarstan State Procurement Committee.
Software (16.7 billion rubles), machinery and equipment (10 billion rubles), and computer equipment (7.2 billion rubles) are among the most in-demand areas of MTK supplies in Russia.
More than 6,000 companies are registered in the federal register of the ITC, for which about 20 measures of state support are provided — from preferential loans and tax deductions to shortening the time for registration of patents and additional preferences for participation in grant programs.
