The Chairman of the RT State Procurement Committee together with a delegate from the Khokimiyat of the Jizzakh region of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Kazan Federal University. Khokim of Jizzakh region In April of this year, Ulugbek Mustafoev already met with KFU Rector Lenar Safin in Uzbekistan, where the head of the university arrived on a working visit.
Then the parties discussed the current activities of the branch of Kazan University in Jizzakh and plans for its further development. In particular, attention was paid to the creation of a Russian Language Training and Testing Center for foreign citizens at the university.
The meeting held in Kazan was a continuation of the agreements reached. A number of legal and organizational issues related to the launch of the much-needed center were discussed in detail. By the way, in addition to the khokimiyat, the idea was also supported by the leadership of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which once again underlines the importance of this joint project.
It takes into account the fact that Uzbek citizens show great interest in finding employment at Russian enterprises. A significant number of migrant workers come to work in the Volga Federal District and the Republic of Tatarstan. To obtain the right to work, they take an exam in Russian as a foreign language, the history of Russia and the basics of legislation of the Russian Federation.
Currently, Kazan University conducts these exams in Kazan, Yelabuga and Naberezhnye Chelny. In 2024, 4,500 people were tested at KFU centers to obtain a work permit or patent, and more than 3,500 in two months of this year. The opportunity to be tested on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan will greatly facilitate logistics, relieve the burden on Russian centers and allow for better control of migration processes.
