Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding the Year of Defender of the Fatherland in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on holding the Year of Defender of the Fatherland in 2025. The relevant document appeared on the official Internet portal of legal information.

By the same decree, the head of state instructed to form an organizing committee and appointed its head, Anton Vaino, head of the Presidential Administration. In addition, a directorate for thematic events will be formed and a plan for them will be developed, including in terms of financing.

The leadership of the regions is recommended to carry out the necessary activities within the framework of the Year of Defender of the Fatherland.
