On May 26, Article 6-1-1 of the Federal Law "On State Defense Orders" will come into force. It provides for the creation of a federal product cataloging system for federal needs (hereinafter referred to as the federal cataloging system), designed to provide information to government customers, lead performers and performers regarding technical and qualitative characteristics, operating conditions of supplies, their developers, manufacturers and suppliers during the formation, placement and execution of state defense orders.
In accordance with this norm, the Government of the Russian Federation has approved the Rules for the Creation, Formation and Functioning of the federal cataloging system, which will also come into force on May 26.
The federal executive authority responsible for regulatory regulation and coordination of work on the creation, formation, operation and development of the federal cataloging system, as well as the organization of the activities of the federal cataloging center, has been determined by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
