State Duma deputies propose to ban public procurement of foreign software, if it has two or more domestic counterparts. The corresponding draft law may be submitted to the Duma before the end of the year.
Now the draft law is awaiting approval from the head of the commission, deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Dmitry Novikov, and "may be signed and submitted to the State Duma at any time." Dmitry Novikov said that the bill is planned to submit to the State Duma before the end of December. "Given what is now of paramount importance takes the general economic situation, do not rule out that we can move it on January," - he added.
