The Government has approved a new list of strategically important medicines
The Government of the Russian Federation has approved an updated list of strategically important medicines (Order No. 942-r dated 04/23/2026). The document cancels the previous lists that were in effect from 2010 and 2020.
The new list consists of two sections and includes 206 items, including vital and essential medicines (VED), as well as vaccines from the national preventive vaccination calendar.
At the same time, at the time of the adoption of the order, no changes had been made to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1875, the norms of which refer to the expired list of SZLS. This may create legal uncertainty in the application of national treatment measures in public procurement until appropriate clarifications are available.
