Cheboksary hosted a two–day interregional conference "Public procurement - the engine of development of domestic production." The large-scale forum brought together federal and regional experts, as well as delegates from 12 regions of Russia.: Altai Territory, Zaporozhye, Kaluga, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Penza, Sverdlovsk Regions, Moscow, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Udmurt Republic and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. The Republic of Tatarstan was represented at the event by Anastasia Surkova, Head of the Centralized Procurement Department of the State Procurement Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The rich educational program covered key aspects of the public procurement sector: the specifics of the national regime, current law enforcement practice of the legislation on the contract system, the prospects for digitalization, the introduction of innovative services, the use of artificial intelligence in public procurement and procurement audit issues.
As part of the business program, the conference participants visited the Pekhet agricultural market, a new farming space opened in mid–July this year on the initiative of the Head of Chuvashia. The site was created to promote local products and get acquainted with the traditions and culture of the region.
