In seven months in Tatarstan, state-owned companies have purchased 0.39 trillion rubles worth of industrial products from SMEs. This became known at the Eastern Economic Forum WEF-2025.

The republic is one of the three leaders in terms of purchases from small and medium-sized businesses. Moscow (1.44 trillion rubles) and St. Petersburg (0.42 trillion rubles) are ahead.

The top 5 nomenclature, for the purchase of which state-owned companies concluded the largest volume of contracts, accounted for manufacturing products, structures and construction work, administrative and support services, as well as services related to scientific, engineering and professional activities.

"We see a positive trend in the volume of purchases of industrial products from representatives of small and medium-sized businesses. This indicates two important processes: on the one hand, the quality of products produced by SMEs is improving, on the other, the trust of state—owned companies in small suppliers and manufacturers is growing," commented Marat Ziatdinov, Chairman of the RT State Procurement Committee.

The SME Corporation and regional authorities monitor compliance by state-owned companies with the quota of purchases from small and medium-sized businesses. According to the Institute for Development, the volume of purchases from SMEs by the end of 2025 may reach 9.4 trillion rubles.
