Registration of vital medicine prices will become easier and faster

11 April 2025, Friday

The Russian government has simplified the procedure for registering the maximum selling prices for drugs from the list of essential and essential medicines (VED). The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The document has already been published on the official portal of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the new rules, the deadline for the provision of public services for price registration has been reduced from 60 to 40 working days. The number of documents required for submission has also been reduced, and the process itself can be completed in electronic format.

According to the government's press service, these changes will make it possible to bring vital drugs to the market more quickly, thereby reducing the risks of disruptions in their supply to medical institutions and pharmacies.

The list of VED includes drugs according to the decision of the commission of the Ministry of Health. Prices for such medicines are controlled by the state, and the medicines themselves are used as part of a program of state guarantees for free medical care. Procurement is funded from the federal and regional budgets, and patients receive drugs for free.
