SVO participant: "The main thing is to love your homeland, your home"
Today, the labor collectives of the State Procurement Committee of the Republic and the Tatarstan Procurement Development Center JSC met with Vyacheslav Shishlyannikov, a participant in a special military operation, commander of a rocket artillery battalion. The soldier came home on vacation.
Vyacheslav Alexandrovich is a career military man. In 2011, he was discharged for health reasons. In 2022, he signed a contract and arrived in the special military operation zone. Vyacheslav was sure that his knowledge would definitely be useful on the front line.
"I had no right to stay away. The homeland must be defended when it needs it. I did this so that my children could live in peace," says a member of the SVO.
At home, there is a settled life, a spouse and children. And there, behind the ribbon, he's the commander. A year ago, Vyacheslav Shishlyannikov headed a new division, with almost 200 people under his command. During the period of his military service, he was awarded the medal "For Services to the Fatherland" of the 2nd degree with swords and the Zhukov Medal. He suffered injuries. Vyacheslav's subordinate units are currently working in one of the most difficult areas.
"The enemy has accumulated a lot of forces there, is actively resisting. And the war is evolving daily now. What happened six months ago may not apply today," the commander admits.
Elena Shishlyannikova's wife works at the RT Procurement Development Center JSC. In parallel, he is engaged in volunteer activities. Together with members of public organizations, friends, colleagues and simply caring Tatarstan citizens, she collects humanitarian aid for her husband and his unit. Cars, technical equipment, medicines and much more are regularly sent to the front lines.
"Today, caring residents are actively helping participants in a special military operation. They transfer money, weave nets, make trench candles, bring necessary things. Everyone is trying to do their part to bring victory closer," Elena emphasized.
The labor collectives talked with the hero of the SVO, were able to ask questions of interest. Vyacheslav Shishlyannikov noted that the main thing is to love your Homeland, to be a reliable support and protection of our great country.
"I would like to express my gratitude to our soldiers, participants of the special military operation. Military personnel, risking their lives and health, heroically defend their homeland, us and our children, and defend the future of the country. It is thanks to them that we are safe," summed up Marat Ziatdinov, Chairman of the State Procurement Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, and thanked the participant for the meeting.
