Since the beginning of 2025, some changes have been implemented in Russia and Tatarstan

- Increased fines for traffic violations, for example, for speeding — 750 rubles (it was 500 rubles). The discount when paying a fine for certain violations will be reduced from 50% to 25%. It will be valid for 30 days.

- Owners of social media channels with an audience of more than 10,000 people who have not submitted their data to Roskomnadzor will be prohibited from placing ads on their pages and will not be able to repost them.

- Starting from January 1, the minimum wage will rise to 22,440 rubles (it was 19,242 rubles).

- Starting from January 1, the size of the insurance pension for working and non-working pensioners will be indexed by 7.3%.

- Five personal income tax rates will begin to apply instead of the current two: 13% — for incomes up to 2.4 million rubles per year, 15% — from 2.4 million to 5 million rubles per year, 18% — from 5 million to 20 million rubles per year, 20% — from 20 million to 50 million rubles per year, 22% — over 50 million rubles per year.

- Starting from January 1, salaries for state employees in Russia have been raised by 13.2%. The increase affected teachers, doctors, cultural workers, social workers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, some civil servants and others.

- In Kazan, the cost of public transport will be 43 rubles for cash and non-cash payments.

- A tourist tax of 1% of the price of accommodation will be introduced in Kazan, Yelabuga, Bolgar, Aznakaevo and 6 rural settlements of the Chistopolsky district of Tatarstan.

- In Tatarstan, dog owners will be required to register their pet regardless of breed and no later than three months after its birth. If the dog is older than the deadline, the owner must register it within 30 days of purchase.
