15 October 2024, Tuesday

The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan will allocate more than 1.1 million rubles to conduct annual control audits for compliance with the forest management certificate, the internal supply chain and the certificate according to the Forest Standard system. Inspections will be carried out on the territory of forestry and forestry enterprises of Tatarstan included in the certification area. The relevant information on the website of the unified information system is posted by the State Procurement Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan. The results of the electronic auction will be announced on October 18, 2024.

The contractor will have to check the documents of the management system for compliance with the requirements of the Forest Standard certification standards. Organize meetings and surveys of the parties involved, inspect forest areas and other places of economic and industrial activity — current cutting areas, fresh and old cuttings, areas of forest crops and natural reforestation, lower warehouses, etc. Based on the results, an independent body will make a decision on certification.

In 2023, the audit events were held in October. The experts visited Aznakaevsky, Almetyevsk, Menzelinsky forestry and forestry enterprises. According to the results of the inspection, no violations were detected. The validity of the certificates has been extended for a year.

For reference. Voluntary forest certification "Forest Standard" is a system of responsible forest management, which is based on internationally recognized requirements and the best accumulated national practices. The system monitors the legality of timber harvesting, the fulfillment of high social and environmental requirements, the integrity of supply chains, the use of waste paper and recycled wood materials, and also contributes to the fight against climate change.
