Responsibility for violations in public procurement has been tightened
Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation were adopted and published. They provide for criminal liability for abuse of public procurement and bribery of a contract service employee, a contract manager, a commission member.
So, abuse in the field of public procurement will be considered a violation of contract service by the contract service employee of the contract system, committed with selfish motive or other personal interest and causing major damage. For such an act can be deprived of liberty for up to three years.
Bribery, for example, will be recognized as an illegal receipt of money by a contract service employee for commission in the interests of giving action related to procurement. In some cases, this crime will be threatened by up to 12 years of imprisonment.
