For violations in the field of public procurement want to toughen the responsibility
The bill has been introduced to the State Duma, which provides for criminal liability for abuses in the sphere of public procurement and bribery of a contract service employee, a contract manager, a commission member.
Abuse in the field of public procurement will be considered a violation of contract service by a contract service employee of a contractual system, committed with self-interest or other personal interest and causing major damage. For such an act can be deprived of liberty for up to three years.
Bribery, for example, will be recognized, for example, as an illegal receipt by a contract service employee of money for commission in the interests of giving action related to procurement. In some cases, this crime will be threatened by up to 12 years of imprisonment.
The authors of the bill explain that there are gaps in the legislation on liability for violations in public procurement.
