The State Duma approved the creation of electronic mailboxes at Gosuslugi
The State Duma adopted a law on the creation of electronic mailboxes for citizens, individual entrepreneurs and organizations on the Gosuslugi portal. The new system will allow government agencies, the Central Bank and state-owned companies to send legally relevant notifications electronically.
Russian Post will become the operator of the platform. The message will be considered delivered if the user logs into his personal account within seven days after posting it. If a person does not have an account on Gosuslugi or does not have the technical ability to send, the notification will be sent by registered mail.
For businesses, the use of the service will be paid — the amount of the monthly fee will be determined by the Government. Government agencies will be able to use the mailboxes for free. Citizens will have the right to choose which senders they are ready to receive messages from.
