The Government of the Russian Federation has amended Resolution No. 719, which defines the criteria for classifying industrial products as Russian.
The amendments affected a wide range of special equipment, including bulldozers, forklifts, agricultural and front loaders, backhoe loaders and pipe laying cranes.
For these products, the agency has re-formed a localization scoring system. Now, when confirming the Russian origin, the implementation of specific technological operations for the manufacture of frames, cabins, chassis, transmission elements, engines and other key components will be taken into account.
The criteria related to the conduct of research and development work, the availability of design documentation and service infrastructure on the territory of the EAEU member states have also been expanded.
The new requirements will come into force on January 1, 2027.
