A meeting of the Coordinating Council for Educational Work in educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Kazan. The event was attended by Viktor Demidov, Chief Federal Inspector for the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as vice-rectors for youth policy at leading universities in the Republic.

Maria Almazova, Deputy Chairman of the State Procurement Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, presented to the members of the Council and the expert community the adaptive educational program for students "The Buyer. A new generation." The pilot project was implemented by the RT State Procurement Committee in cooperation with the Procurement Development Center in 2025 based on the analysis and implementation of best regional practices.

"The purpose of the program is to train a new generation of professionals in the field of public procurement, provide the industry with qualified young personnel and create an effective career guidance system among students of Tatarstan universities. The program includes a three-stage training system: distance learning, face-to-face practical classes and an individual creative project. This comprehensive approach allows participants not only to master the theory and practice of procurement activities, but also to gain valuable experience for future employment," said Maria Almazova.

In 2025, 19 students out of 36 participants successfully completed the pilot program, 5 of whom have already been employed in the procurement sector, and two have been recommended to the personnel reserve. Thanks to cooperation with the Youth Government of Tatarstan, 2 representatives of the Lugansk People's Republic also received training.

Maria Almazova emphasized that the program contributes not only to solving the personnel shortage, but also to strengthening partnerships between government agencies and educational organizations. She expressed confidence in the need for further scaling of the project to form a unified database of qualified specialists and develop a professional community of purchasers in Tatarstan.

For the sustainable development of the initiative, the RT State Procurement Committee turned to the Coordinating Council to support the information campaign, organize regular recruitment and recommend universities to send students to study under the program.

The council members supported the initiative and expressed confidence in its importance for the professional development of students and the development of the procurement sector in the region.
