Starting in 2026, the Unified Information System will have a search for the register of Russian industrial products
Starting from January 1, 2026, the Unified Information System in the Field of Procurement (GIS EIS) will be able to search by number from the Register of Russian Industrial Products. This innovation, confirmed by the Federal Treasury in response to the appeal of the NGO Honest Register, is aimed at strengthening the fight against counterfeiting and unfair supplies.
According to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1875, from the beginning of 2026, it will become mandatory to indicate the number of the registry entry confirming the Russian origin of the products in the Unified Information System. The new functionality will simplify the verification of the authenticity of goods declared as domestic.
The search function will help limit fraudulent practices where suppliers use the registry records of bona fide manufacturers without their knowledge. Such schemes were previously difficult to track, which allowed the abuse to scale.
Recall that the growth in demand for domestic goods is associated with the expansion of the national regime: now it applies not only to purchases under 44-FZ, but also to companies with state participation under 223-FZ.
