FAS named the industries leading in the number of agreements restricting competition

The Federal Antimonopoly Service summed up the results of its work on combating cartels in 2024.

The largest number of violations related to the restriction of competition were identified in the fields of construction and road management, pharmaceuticals, passenger transportation, real estate and social nutrition.

As part of the efforts to identify cartels, 315 cases were initiated, 245 decisions were made, and 78 regions were covered. During the inspections, 4,369 procurement violations were found, and the total initial (maximum) contract price was 122.4 billion rubles.

As a result of the penalties, 1 billion rubles were transferred to the budget.
